Acton academy Crossfit
We are pleased to offer the first school-based CrossFit Kids program in Washington, DC. Acton Academy CrossFit offers constantly varied functional movements, which deliver fitness that is broad, inclusive, general, and scalable for participants at any level. Functional movements are fundamental to all things kids need to do when they play and compete in sports – pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift, and jump. No two classes are the same so kids never get bored and the novelty of each session keeps them engaged and challenged. (Courtesy of CrossFit Inc.)
Strong body, strong mind, powerful future
Acton Academy CrossFit believes that experience truly is the best teacher. When kids are on a field or in a gym, they open themselves up in a unique way. The challenges faced in fitness activities are some of the best lessons a child can encounter. Teaching kids how to succeed physically will encourage them to take on other challenges and strive for more success. This will carry on well into their adult lives.
“Participating in sports played one of the greatest roles in shaping my young adult life. Sports taught me some important values: sportsmanship, teamwork, determination, and hard work.”
- Andrew Shniderman, Acton Academy CrossFit Coach, Big Andy Training
